If you've found your way here, thank you. Whether you're a loyal customer, a fellow creative, or simply curious about the person behind Vintique Studio Yorkshire, I thought it was time I shared a little of my story.

I was born and bred in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, and from as far back as I can remember, I've always had a passion for creating. Art was never just a hobby; it was where I felt happiest. Give me something to paint, design, transform, or up cycle, and I'd lose myself in it for hours.

When I left school, I studied Graphic Design at college. Looking back, I quickly realised it wasn't quite the right path for me. If I could do it all again, I would have chosen Art. I often wonder where that decision might have led me. Then again, perhaps I was always destined to find my way right here, doing exactly what I love.

Before I was a business owner, I was a mum. And honestly, that's always been my most important role. My Life's work 💗💙

Back in 2011, I began creating around my part-time job at B&Q. It gave me the flexibility I needed to be there for my children while still nurturing my creativity. As my youngest started nursery, I took a role at the same primary school my children attended, which felt like the perfect balance between family life and work.

What started as a practical decision became a genuine passion.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in schools as an SEN Support Assistant, Learning Mentor, and Thrive Practitioner. Supporting children, helping them overcome challenges, and celebrating their successes brought me some incredibly rewarding and fulfilling years. Well being through Art. The most perfect way to open those little minds, supporting them to feel safe enough to express themselves and encourage healing 💗

But despite how much I loved that work, something was missing.

I felt a constant pull towards creating. There were ideas buzzing around my head, projects I wanted to bring to life, and a growing desire to build something of my own. Alongside that, like many families, I wanted to generate a better income to support my children and create opportunities for our future.

So eventually, I decided to take a leap of faith.

I stopped waiting for the perfect moment and went all in.

Today, that leap has become Vintique Studio Yorkshire.

At its heart, Vintique Studio Yorkshire is about creativity, craftsmanship, and creating pieces that make people feel something. Whether it's a hand-painted wine glass, a personalised gift, a bespoke window display, or helping transform a home or business space, my goal is always the same.

I want the things I create to bring joy.

At home, you'll usually find me covered in paint, surrounded by projects, or dreaming up my next idea. I'm completely obsessed with interiors and home décor. My partner, Mark, and I are currently renovating our home, breathing new life into forgotten spaces and adding character wherever we can.

Truthfully, it's one of our favourite things to do.

We love being at home, enjoying the simple things, finding calm in our surroundings, and creating a space that brings us happiness. That feeling is something I want to share with others through my work.

Whether I'm creating a gift, painting glassware, styling a room, designing window art, or crafting seasonal décor, I want people to feel the love and care that's gone into it.

I've always been a people pleaser, and while that has its challenges, it also means I pour my heart and soul into everything I create. I genuinely care about every customer who chooses to support my small business.

I love taking something ordinary and turning it into something special.

I love rescuing, restoring, repurposing, and creating something from nothing.

I love collecting treasures.

And more than anything, I love creating treasures for other people.

The most rewarding part of what I do isn't selling a product. It's receiving a photograph of a gift being opened, seeing a beautifully decorated home enjoy one of my creations, or hearing that something I've made has made somebody smile.

That feeling is priceless.

It reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

To create.

To connect.

To bring a little beauty into people's lives.

And for that, I couldn't be more grateful.

Thank You

Thank you for supporting my small business, following my journey, and allowing me to do what I love every single day. Every order, every message, every share, and every kind word means more than you'll ever know.

Vintique Studio Yorkshire is built on creativity, passion, family, and community, and none of it would be possible without you.

I'm so grateful you're here.

Until next time, keep finding beauty in the everyday.

With love,

Lisa ✨
